Heating Coil
The Heating Coil is one of the most important equipment on vessels, installed at the bottom of the fuel tank.
It maintains the internal temperature of
the fuel tank at a constant level using steam inside the drum, which helps
preserve the fuel's viscosity.
This Heating Coil is used in F.O. Tanks,
Cargo Tanks on Crude Oil Tankers (COT) and Product Chemical Tankers (PCT), NaOH
Tanks, and L.O. Tanks. Steam, thermal oil, or warm water flows through the
Heating Coil to maintain or heat the temperature of the fuel.

Type 1. Drum Type
The Heating medium (e.g., Steam) flows to
the drum shell through pipes, and the heat is transferred to the Pin tubes.
This Heat facilitates convection, which is
the main factor in heating the fuels in the tank.
This Drum type Heating Coil can be installed in small and narrow tanks by connecting each drum.

Type 2. Spring Type (Circle)
The Spring Type (Circle) Heating Coil has a similar concept to the Bare Type, but it is more efficient for space utilization.

Type 3. Spring Type (Square)
The Spring Type (Square) Heating Coil has
the same structure as the Spring Type (Circle), but the shape of the Heating
Coil is “Square”.

Type 4. Bare Type
The Heating medium (e.g., Steam) from the
boiler heats the fuel through pipes.
Place the pipe by connecting it with a sleeve fitting, and depending on the volume of the Oil Tank, the pipe lines can be arranged flexibly.
Type 5. Manifold Unit
This Manifold Unit is a type of valve unit for individual steam applications from the main steam line, arranged by group.
