 On November 23, 2024, Samkun Century employees, along with their families and children, participated in a meaningful SCR activity (volunteer work) in a nearby community. Gathering early in the morning, the families spent valuable time under the clear autumn sky, harvesting perfectly ripe apples and carefully packing them. This activity provided meaningful support to local farmers by helping to address labor shortages. The children enjoyed learning about the importance of nature and the value of teamwork while engaging in the activity with their parents. Likewise, the adults shared joyful moments with their families, filling the day with laughter and happiness. Samkun Century remains committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities through various SCR activities in collaboration with the local community.      

On November 11, 2024, Samkun Century marked its 35th anniversary by hosting the ‘Samkun One Heart Event,’ designed to promote the health and unity of its employees. The event was graced not only by our employees but also by their families, who joined us to make the occasion even more memorable. It was a meaningful time for all to come together and create lasting memories. In addition, we took the opportunity to congratulate and express our gratitude to our long-serving employees for their dedication to the company’s growth. Over the past 35 years, Samkun Century has led change through continuous preparation and challenges. Today, we continue to give our best as we strive for a brighter tomorrow.

35th Anniversary Overseas Workshop To commemorate the 35th anniversary, a group of eight long-serving employees recently participated in a 4-day, 2-night overseas workshop in Macau and Hong Kong. This workshop was organized as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication and hard work over the years, providing an opportunity to experience diverse cultures and new surroundings. Participants visited major local attractions and landmarks, immersing themselves in the unique culture and enjoying the rich local cuisine. During the workshop, they strengthened camaraderie with their colleagues, fostering a bond beyond work and gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for one another.  Offshore Korea 2024, held for three days from October 16-18, 2024, took place at BEXCO in Busan, Korea, showcasing eco-friendly marine energy solutions. This year’s exhibition featured approximately 170 companies from 16 countries, with 450 booths displaying advanced technology in marine equipment. Over 10,000 visitors attended to explore the latest innovations in the industry. At Samkun Century, we proudly presented our ARA Plus ⁺ Ballast Water Management System (BWMS), along with various water treatment equipment, RO-type fresh water generators, and specialized coating technologies, showcasing the exceptional quality of our products. Samkun Century Co., Ltd. celebrated the 34th anniversary on 11th of Nov. 2023. We had prepared an event to congratulate and appreciate the long-term employees who have been striving for the development of the company. ‘ Better safe than sorry’ For the past 34 years of the operation, we have always thoroughly prepared for the future, demonstrating persistent progress and changes. KOMARINE 2023, the only shipbuilding and offshore exhibition representing Korea, was held in BEXCO, Busan for 4 days from October 24 to 27, 2023. Twenty-five countries had participated this year, making it one of the biggest event in the shipbuilding industry. Various events, such as SME export conferences and forums, were held during the exhibition. Gratefully, many guests had visited our booth, which led to a great achievement. Samkun Century presented some of the main items: ARA Plus+ BWMS (Ballast Water Management System) which has obtained USCG(United States Coast Guard), the New G8 type approval, and RO fresh water generator, as well as, various coating pipes, etc. It was a great opportunity to let not only domestic and international shipyards but also ship owners know the excellence of our products.  Korea Research Institute for defense Technology planning and advancement (KRIT) and Gyeongsangnam-do Province has established Gyeongnam national Defense Venture Center on September, 2009. It dedicates to discover small and venture businesses with advanced technology, and makes business agreements to support their technology improvement and its commercialization. June 1st, 2023, Samkun Century has been newly recognized for its technology which is applicable for national defense industry and the agreement ceremony has been conducted in the venture center. Our excellent special surface treatment technology and water treatment technology to the defense sector will be applied for its industry. We expect to contribute to the development of the defense industry through the development and distribution of defense equipment with guaranteed safety and reliability in future.

On the Feb 24th, 2023, JungIl Kang, CEO of Samkun Century, was awarded by the Ministor of Trade, Industry and Energy during assembly of Busan Marine Equipment Association. He is recognized for his contribution in national development progress by consistent improvement in technology and promoting active exports, in the marine shipbuilding & equipment industry.
